Modernism
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts presents an exhibit of more than 250 objects representing nine Modernist movements.
Included are American Art Deco (1920-40), American Arts and Crafts (1900-15), and American Art Nouveau (1890-1910).
As an artistic and literary philosophy and practice, modernism is a self-conscious break with the past and a search for new forms of expression.
