The Hubble Space Telescope
The Hubble Space Telescope, presented by the Exploratorium, gives you the chance to see deep into space and learn about the amazing technology that powers this 21st-century eye in the sky.
Humans have been looking up at the sky for centuries, trying to figure out what's up there and how it's related to us. Learn about the history of stargazing before heading to the exhibit's main galleries. There you can learn about the scientists and other specialists that keep the Hubble in space, and then visit the Tools gallery to figure out how the telescope was originally launched into orbit. You can also view a number of Webcasts, originally aired in April of 2001.
